What our friends and "fans" have said about us:
FROM AMANDA BARBER: Pam, You know what I love the best about your web additions? They are authentically you. I am so glad you are willing to put yourself out there, Pam, because what you have been through and where you have arrived is such a sweet testament. It is no coincidence that the Morgan horse found your pure heart and has never let go. Too many people are closed off now a days. Shoot, I can barely get my neighbors to wave at me, let alone share a deep thought! Thank you for your thoughts and inspiration, friend. I wish we lived closer, the briskness of Fall always makes me horse FRISKY! Ride on, Amanda October 2012

Your website is amazing! I visit it often, and the most recent addition "Hoofprints" brought tears to my eyes again, even though I have seen and read your tribute on the placque displayed in your office. Leaf was just that kind of horse. I remember how he impressed me, so much so that when I learned you were willing to sell "Jester" that I said, "If he is anything like Leaf, I would love to have him." I thank you for that opportunity, for sharing your dream with me and helping to build mine.

Hello Pam,
I have one of your beautiful babies, CAUM E's A Jewel Thief. I love him so. . . Every where I go Morgan people come up to me and tell me he's the most beautiful Morgan they have ever seen, where did he come from? I have just found your website and now I will be able to refer them!
I was wondering if you might have any pictures, video, or information of Jewel when he was young. I was so happy to find pictures of his mother and father on your website, Ruby Slipper and Ellusion. I am so hungry for any information or pictures before he was mine.
Not only is he beautiful, but he has such a champion's heart. He gives 150 % all the time. I can't tell you how much I
love him and always will. He will be with me forever. I just what to be able to tell people that tell me they want one just like him, where to look. Can you give me an idea how much your sale horses run?
Thank you so much for everything.

ANOTHER LETTER FROM CONNIE ..... this one made my heart cry ... tears of JOY!! September 21
Hi Pam,
Thank you for getting back to me, it is so exciting to talk with you! When I first got Jewel, I got in contact with his previous owners. They bought Jewel as a yearling and I believe she said that as a two year old he won every local, state, and regional halter show he was ever in. They did not have the funds to take him farther. He was trained to pull a cart, and they would drive him into town. He was very quick, and their friend Monty Bruce, (professional reining trainer) told them he might make a great reiner. He trained Jewel for 7 months. Jewel hurt his suspensory ligament, she said it was heart breaking. He was given the best treatment available and ran up a huge bill, but was given a 100% recovery. So they owed money for training, AND vet bills.
Here comes the really sad part. She said they were just about to lose everything. They could not decide which of their horses they would take to auction, so they put all the names in a bucket, and promised that which ever 10 names they pulled out, they would let go. Jewel was one of them. She was just about crying, and so was I, listening to those lost dreams . . .
I was probably the only one in this part of the state that did not want a quarter horse. I was looking for something special, a warrior's heart and soul, who loved to go and take me with him. I had studied pedigrees and conformation, and movement for years, had only two horses before Jewel, both ex race horses, Thoroughbreds.
The owner (of a local stable) told me there was a chocolate Morgan up at the barn (Jewel is a dark liver chestnut, a deep chocolate in the winter). He had been there for weeks along with the usual, stock quarter horses, he was spit polished and gorgeous. He had not been out of his stall for weeks. As soon as I looked over the old wooden stall door, he put his head out and nuzzled my cheek . . . so gently and sweet. As the owner rode him for me, I could see his conformation was perfect, his movement was amazing. He spun him in both directions, on an uneven dirt road, on one foot. I was in love! There was absolutely nothing that remotely resembled a quarter horse! Then I got
on!
He was ... after a long trailering, weeks in a stall ... quivering with energy! He was a loaded pistol, so fast, yet so sensitive. Like nothing I've ever ridden, he would be a challenge for me, for anyone. But I knew I would never in my life find another one like him. And I was right!! He has stolen my heart. He will be the only horse I will ever
have for the rest of my life. And you should have seen him, when I finally got him home and he was set free!! He was unbelievable! Jumping up in the air, bucking, rearing, running!
I called Monty Bruce to see what I could find out and when I told him I had just purchased a chocolate Morgan named Jewel and asked him if he remembered him, this is what he said. "That Jewel is a special horse, a real special horse. We were on the way to Morgan Worlds, when two weeks before, he got hurt." I asked him if he thought he had a chance, and he said, "Oh yes. He would have placed or better!" He absolutely loved him and kept telling me how special he was. I asked Monty if I could get him out to him would he still be able to go to Worlds in 2009, and he said all he needed was two months and he would be ready!
Sadly, I just had Jewel three weeks before I had a bad accident and needed five surgeries in two years, knee, hip, and three back surgeries. I was unable to ride at all. Not until this spring. Of course I was out of work for two months with each surgery so I could not send Jewel to Monty.
But we have made up for it, this summer has been so great. I am just learning all the cowboy stuff, but even with ME on him, Jewel and I beat the quarter horses on a regular basis. It is so much fun! We have done extreme cowboy races, team penning, sorting, cattle drive, ranch horse, boxing. He loves chasing cows around and is really cowey; a natural. And so quick. He turns them himself up and down the wall, all I do is hang on for dear life. He loves barrels and gymkanas. He is wonderful on the trail.
This spring, there was a 16 mile trail ride. I was an hour late for the start of it. There were six groups of riders, the really fast group... the barrel racers, and cowboys had left an hour before. Jewel and I were the last one out the gate. He cannot stand to have any horses in front of him, so we would lope up and catch up to a group, and then just walk - he has the fastest walk ...and smoothest... up to the next group. I just let him go at his own pace ( I've never kicked or nudged him to go forward for any event. He loves to go and never stop!) About 3/4 of the way, we caught up to the fast group, all tired out. Passed them. The last third of the race was up a long steep mountain through the woods, weaving through the trees. I just hung on, Jewel ran up the entire way and when we came out of the trees, the owner of Pond Hill Stable (where the race was held) was there. She saw Jewel and I were the last to head out, and the first to finish. She could not believe it! Jewel was walking just as fast the last mile as the first. So happy to be going forward. He has such a huge heart!
Please know that he is not being over worked, nor would I do anything to stress his legs, I am very careful with my treasure, but I do allow him to go if it makes him happy. I am going to work on reining in the future. My problem and his... is that we both like to do everything. And we both like the wind in our hair and bugs in our teeth most of all. We prefer running free to riding in the ring, and both love any competition. We are a perfect match!
I can honestly say I have never, ever seen him tired . . . I always wear out before he does. He has been healthy and sound, never a limp, or off day, or runny nose. That speaks to his breeding, and he is sweet and gentle, and incapable of doing anything mean . . . there is no meanness in him. This speaks to the wonderful handling he must have received as a foal and colt.
Please know he has a wonderful home. We live in Vermont, on the top of a mountain, at the end of a class 4 road with 26 acres of woods and meadows. Out our driveway is 2000 acres of trails through the green mountains, and meadows, and a National Forest. Every morning the clouds go by below our house. It is very lovely. Jewel has my husband's Quarterhorse gelding for a stable mate. He is very happy.
Well as you can see I could go on forever. I will send you some pictures, as soon as I can.
I am so grateful to you for having such a great breeding program. We prove every day that Morgans are not just for Park and Driving. They are amazing at everything! Sweet, gentle and honest. And love to go, so spirited and so trustworthy.
I really do have people ask me all the time where they can get a horse like him. Are there more like him? I do not know enough about Morgans to know. And if you want to forward me some pictures of your sale horses and prices I will show them to people here, if you would like.
It was great talking to you!
Connie

him as a tiny baby! So so happy that he found this wonderful, lifetime home!! : ))"

Dorey and her friend Tomika came out to look at and possibly buy "Mani", my palomino stallion. Dorey brought the trailer, hoping he would be "the one" that would be her dream horse! Dorey says that "Everywhere I look, I see BEAUTIFUL HORSES!!" As she got to know Mani he put his forehead against her chest and just pressed gently, and she says, "I just melted!" I watched as HE TOO, melted, and felt at home with her, and comfortable! She has an art... the "healing touch".... so no doubt, he will feel her love in their new lives together!

UPDATE FROM DOREY REGARDING MANI: 9/10/12 "I have had Mani out in a secure pasture, with only our gelding in the pasture next to him, for 3 days now, and that has really calmed him down. My 10 year old girl riding student was here yesterday and lured him over to the gate for pats right away. He was as kind and gentle as a Morgan should be."

Pam, ... I think you're pretty amazing. We had such a great time last evening with you, your hospitality was unending. Thank you both so much for opening your place to us instead of throwing us out on our ear! ;) Bandit, is everything you have said and everything I have built up in my mind. I was not disappointed in him!
There is so much to say about your place and I CAN NOT wait to see you and it again. What you have is beautiful and unique. Your stock is the result of a relentless pursuit of a dream; a really, really great awe inspiring dream. I
get goosebumps thinking about it! It's like, WOW, she did it! Her dream is actually neighing here in front of us! I could go on and on. I was not expecting to feel that I met people, instead of horses; I actually can recall their faces, the feeling I got from them, and little things about their individual personalities. What WAS that? So cool! Pam it was great to meet you and your husband. Thank you for your time, friendship and shared love of Morgans. In touch sooner than later, Amanda June 2012
My comment on Facebook about her visit: "I just spent 3 hours talking with a WONDERFUL lady
from Overland Park, KS, as we worked with, talked about, and walked among my Morgan Horses! She loves Morgans too, and seemed very impressed with my band of horses. She loves my stories, loves the way the horses all want attention, loves the way I "opened my heart" for her to share my love for them. I told her it was SO EASY! "The horses... they do all the work.... it's just so easy to love them!!""

Pam!! So great to hear from you. Well, aren't you somethin'! You not only survived this summer's inferno, you actually came through it on top! I can tell you have been working HARD on all fronts. Your web site just gets better and better, you have sold ALOT of stock, and I can't wait to see 2013 crosses (Ellusion x Witchway is going to be UNBELIEVABLE). Are you having fun? I sure hope you are having a good time, because I can't help smiling just thinking about your success, it truly tickles me. Gosh I wish I was there to share in ANY part of it! Just know I am celebrating with you no matter the distance. ;)
Bandit, Bandit, beautiful Bandit. Do you have to dangle the carrot?? Great updated photos of him. The camera just can't quite pick up the beauty of his coloring. It is difficult to describe, it's like the lining of the sun, or a buried treasure, or a ripened vine. A majestic color whatever it is, saved for a few and I love it and him. He definitely speaks to me.... ;(
"Faithful Fans" is genius; much warmer than the generic "testimonies" page. Hey I'm on there! How cool is that? I meant every word written to you. I hope sharing it only brings goodness to you, your farm, and your business. You are good people, Pam.
So what's next? Can't wait, can't wait to know!
Cheers to YOU! Amanda September 10, 2012

"Pam you are a special woman. Your love for Morgan Horses is awesome. Anyone that loves horses would love to hear your stories about your wonderful beautiful Morgans. I have always thought they were beautiful."
Laura Stern, Michigan

"I have the best horse. She's smart, kind, and funny. She's also very well conformed and my ideal type of Morgan. She has three pure gaits for dressage, something many Morgans lack. She is a mare that can and will better the Morgan breed. She is a true testament to Pam Morgan's breeding program. I'm lucky to have her. And you know, despite what she went through, if she hadn't, I never would have found her. Everything happens for a reason. She is a one in a million horse! She is so very much loved!! She is a really wonderful girl... she has to be the most intelligent, expressive horse I have ever met. She says a lot about her breeding program.. a solid, well built mare. A truly great example of the Morgan breed!" April 2012

Glenda and CAUM E's Black Pearl
Gosh, how long has it been now? A good friend of mine... um, well, correct that, will you? A .... GREAT... friend of mine, Glenda Wild, met me while I was showing at the Nebraska State Fair one year, and took home my business card. SIX YEARS LATER, she came back to find me, and to look at my horses, hoping to find one she would buy and take home. She found, and fell in love with.... CAUM E's Black Pearl (Futurity's Ellusion x CAUM Beam's Ruby Slipper). Glenda has been a friend ever since, and has helped out at my Open Barns or at the Expo and State Fair, or just to help take pictures! She professionally grooms dogs, and is a great photographer too! And when I was out "baby watching" this past spring during a NASTY storm, this is what she wrote: "This weather is really freaking me out. I'm going to worry sick about you being out in this birthing a foal...Tell her she needs to wait for better weather. We don't want her baby to end up with a name like TWISTER!! STAY SAFE AND I WILL BE PRAYING FOR ALL THREE OF YOU!!" Thank you, Glenda... love you too, girl! April 2012
September, 2012: "I really love my " Pearl" from this special cross. She is a TRUE BLESSING EVERYDAY. This September 19th it was 9 years ago she came home with us...She was five months old and just weaned a few weeks before. This was one Happy Day I will never forget. I even remember sleeping outside with her the first night. It
is hard to believe this much time has passed already. My BIG DREAM for the future is to breed her and keep part of my Pearl after she is gone. We are all part of a Wonderful family of Great Horses!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dear Sugar Britches............I am so thrilled to hear about the arrival of your daughter. I've been wanting this for some time. Sounds like you handled it well with a little help from the blonde you hang around with!
Your Mom and Dad produced a beautiful, sane, hardworking mare, that seems to take life as it's presented, plus you beat the pants off your competition in the show ring. You are a breath taker and will be wonderful mom!
Hey tell Pam that I want to know, What Stallion is coming in? Don't forget to eat and rest if you can... having babies can be tiring! Ruby will be O.K. and she'll have an Aries baby too. Aries people are sexy, you know!
Love, Leona Herman April 2012
Dear Pam,
Hope all is well with every one and your're worn out but very happy!
Wondering if I should have explained to Tim about you and stallions. The first was a Chestnut who won your heart, then a line of fine-looking guys, each one adding something of their own... bay, palamino, cremello, gray, black. The black came from Canada and didn't get to be with you very long, but when you lost him I heard you say you had dreamed of owning a black stallion all your life!
GIVE TIM A HUG AND TELL HIM THANKS FOR LOVING YOU FOR WHO YOU ARE!

You certainly have some lovely mares! Some of the nicest bays I’ve seen!
Beautiful heads, ears and great Morgan type. You should have a website and you would likely have a waiting list for foals! I do love the look, style and pedigree’s of your girls, so I’m checking to see if any of them would be for sale? February, 2012
