GREAT Quote!
The quote of the month is by Jay Leno:
"With hurricanes, tornados, fires out of control, mud slides, flooding, severe thunderstorms tearing up the country from one end to another, and with the threat of bird flu and terrorist attacks, are we sure this is a good time to take God out of the Pledge of Allegiance?"

God's Wings
After a forest fire in Yellowstone National Park, forest rangers began their trek up a mountain to assess the inferno's damage.
One ranger found a bird literally petrified in ashes, perched statuesquely on the ground at the base of a tree. Somewhat sickened by the eerie sight, he knocked over the bird with a stick. When he gently struck it, three tiny chicks scurried from under their dead mother's wings. The loving mother, keenly aware of impending disaster, had scurried her offspring to the base of the tree and had gathered them under her wings, instinctively knowing that the toxic smoke would rise. She could have flown to safety but had refused to abandon her babies.
Then the blaze had arrived and the heat had scorched her small body, but the mother had remained steadfast....because she had been willing to die, so those under the cover of her wings would live.
'He will cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you will find refuge.' (Psalm 91:4)
Time waits for no one. Treasure every moment you have. You will treasure it even more when you can share it with someone special.
This was not my story, but it was too beautiful not to share!!

Undiscovered Treasures
One evening, I was kicking back for a while, waiting for Tim to come home from work so I could serve up some supper. I sat down to flip through the 125+ channels of satellite television, disgusted with the fact that there was STILL nothing to watch!! But then I happened upon the Discovery channel, and they were talking about the Amazon river... and the giant snakes of the Amazon! Ok... I know, but I happen to LIKE snakes!! So I watched that for a while, until they went on to a vicious breed of fish that drill holes into their victims and eats them from the inside out! THAT about made me sick, so I flipped the channel!
That's when I saw the channel where they were talking about the discovery of a sunken ship! They were commenting that there was no way of knowing just how many HUNDREDS of undiscovered treasures were out there, mainly due to PIRATES!! Yes... Pirates! It would appear, that after boarding the ships of their victims, making off with their treasures, and perhaps killing their victims or sinking their ships, the Pirates would oftentimes bury their treasures on uninhabited islands, to come back later to get them! However, due to the fact that so many of the Pirates were illiterate, their maps would be less than accurate, and the directions to get back weren't good enough to find the treasures again! Therefore... many treasures are out there still waiting to be rediscovered!
When they asked the commentator about the fact that the Pirates were illiterate, and wondered why... didn't they get enough schooling? He just answered that, no.... the schooling was adequate, but for whatever reason, they ....
.... never got past their "RRRRRRRRRRRRR's!!" (Ok, I made this one up!!)
