        Ray was my last foal from Hawkeye's Maple Leaf, born in 2006.  I lost Leaf in 2005, after a lengthy bout of colic, brought on by a twisted gut.  Ray was my gift from Leaf, and sad as I am to say that he didn't measure up to his father, Ray was there to give me HOPE when everything else was falling around me!  He won Jr Champion Stallion at his first class ever, as a weanling stud colt, at the Nebraska State Fair, 2006! 

Ray has been gelded and sold to my sister, Terri, who will probably have him FOREVER!  He will be in the family at least, and close enough to where I can always see that little flicker of light... my little Ray of Hope!
